Treehouse Descriptions

Manta Ray

Suspended in mid-air by palm trees, these tree-houses are designed to echo the manta rays you can see flying out of the ocean in front of Playa Viva. Each Treehouse is made up of two buildings. The “perch” in front is outfitted with a king bed as well as net hammock suspended out front in the air. The back house has a private bathroom downstairs and a lounge upstairs. This second house is outfitted with 2 day beds and a desk with a great view. Rooms have 876 square feet of space total, 405 in the perch.

Price per person begins at $315/night

New Jet

Inspired by the original Treehouse at Playa Viva, this New Jet has been updated with additional touches. The same conical shape is preserved as the perch with a king bed. An updated back house has a private bathroom downstairs and a lounge upstairs. This second house is outfitted with 2 day beds and a desk with a great view. The New Jet has a hammock extending over the front of the room, but otherwise retains much of the same style of the classic. Rooms have 830 square feet of space total, 426 in the perch.

Price per person begins at $349/night

Wing Treehouse

The Wing Treehouse is a unique design, one of a kind among the new Treehouse village. The perch is inspired by the wing of the Manta Ray and has a king bed and a net hammock extending out over the front with a perfect ocean front view. The bathhouse is the same as all other Treehouses with a guest room upstairs with two single beds and a desk. The Wing Treehouse has 805 square feet of space total, 325 in the perch.

Price per person begins at $339/night

Evolution of Regeneration at Playa Viva

What’s Happening Now

Playa Viva has always been a pioneer of regenerative travel. We are now expanding our impact work with projects that effect the communities and environment throughout our local watershed.

Permaculture

An increase in construction materials allows us to harvest our own bamboo and palm fronds for our palapa roofs, as well as supply others in the area. We have also increased flora production in our nursery.

Social Impact

We have developed relationships and impact programs to promote education, health, and economic development with locals, schools, and ranches in our local community all along the Juluchuca river.

Environmental Impact

Regenerating the entire watershed is the next natural evolution of Playa Viva. We have begun a comprehensive program to improve the local land and water for all.

Elevated Guest Experience

  • Enhanced culinary program led by Chef Daniel, including custom dining offerings.
  • We continue to source ingredients from our own farm and now grow enough produce to sell to other restaurants in the area.
  • An improved Common Area as well as a beachfront bar will continue to build community.
